It’s been quite an eventful week for Breanna Nix as the “American Idol” finalist hit major milestones in her rising music career.
The “Higher” singer made her successful debut at the Grand Ole Opry on June 5 and performed at the CMA Fest on June 4.
But Nix isn’t done yet. The mother of one is now hinting at a possible new song, which got fans excited.
Is Breanna Nix Releasing a New Song Soon?
Breanna Nix/InstagramBreanna Nix teases new music.
On Sunday, June 8, Nix took to her Instagram Stories and shared an intriguing poll with her followers. The “American Idol” star posted a mirror selfie and asked fans what they think about a new song, seemingly hinting at a new single soon.
“How do we feel about new music?” Nix asked along with the choices: “Yes, let me hear it” and “Um, let’s go!”
Given that her first single, “Higher,” was a success, it’s likely that her next release will be a big hit too. However, nothing is official yet, so fans will have to wait for Nix’s announcement.
Nix’s ‘Higher’ Is Just the Beginning
Nix’s debut single, “Higher,” marked a strong start to her music career. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Christian Digital Song Sales chart and ranked at No. 4 on the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart, per Forbes. In addition, the song landed at No. 40 on the Hot Christian Songs rankings.
In an Instagram post, Nix explained the meaning behind the song:
This is my new song, ‘Higher’ — a reminder that no matter what life throws at you, you can rise again. It’s about resilience, chasing your dreams, and finding the strength to keep going. I hope it lifts you up and inspires you to never give up.
Nix Still on Cloud Nine After Dream Performance
Fresh off her Grand Ole Opry debut, Nix is still in awe that she had the chance to perform on country music’s iconic stage. The “American Idol” star performed “Higher” and the worship song “The Goodness of God.” Her impressive performance earned her two standing ovations.
Following her “bucket list” moment, Nix shared a video of herself signing what appeared to be an Opry 100 journal.
“What is life? This truly was the best day ever,” she wrote. “I felt right at home. Thank you Grand Ole Opry for letting me come out. I will never forget this day.”
Aside from Nix, “American Idol” runner-up John Foster also made his Opry debut last week.
