Carrie Underwood, who just completed her first stint as a judge on American Idol, named a new addition after the winner of Season 23 on ABC. Read on to see some cute photos.

On Thursday this week, Carrie took to her Instagram account and shared a very cute reel and some photos that she took on the farm. She and a certain sheep both seemed thrilled to meet the newest little lamb. In her caption, Katy Perry’s replacement revealed why she named the baby after the latest winner of the talent show.

Underwood, who briefly seemed unhappy as a judge, decided to honor the show because her baby arrived on the night of the finale. So, in her caption, she wrote, “Surprise! We’ve got another new life around the farm! This little guy happened to be born on the day of the @americanidol finale, so we figured it would only be right if we named him Jamal!!”
Additionally, the winner of Season 4 added, “Mama and Baby J are doing well…and I’m popping by the barn to get snuggles every chance I get! Welcome to the world, little dude!”
Fans React To The Baby
ABC fans were very happy when Jamal Roberts won the show with his soulful singing. He beat out Breanna Nix and Country Singer John Foster. Many people think that he’ll go far, and they also have similar sentiments about the new lamb. Lambs, after all, seldom live long and happy lives.
