The podcaster is married to country singer Jelly Roll and stepmom to his two kids — Bailee Ann, 15, and Noah Buddy, 7
Bunnie Xo is ready to settle into her role as a mom.
The podcaster, 44 — whose real name is Alyssa DeFord — spoke on a Thursday, Jan. 2 episode of her podcast Dumb Blonde with a psychic medium and opened up about how she’s experienced several pregnancy losses in the past and now feels ready to become a parent.
Bunnie, who is married to country singer Jelly Roll, born Jason DeFord, is stepmom to Jelly’s two kids — daughter Bailee Ann, 16, and son Noah Buddy, 8.
“I just feel like I’ve been healing so much trauma with my parents that I finally am ready to be a parent,” Bunnie said. “Like, I’ve helped raise Bailee since she was 7, and I think that also showed me that, hey, I’m not gonna f— up a kid’s life too badly.”

“But I feel like I’ve mastered… not mastered, but I feel like I can do this. You know?” she continued. “And I just want a little piece of J and I together.”
Later in the podcast, Bunnie talked a little bit about the “trauma” she went through, which included a few ectopic pregnancies.
“I have been pregnant three times in my life. When I was 16, I got pregnant the first time I had sex, and I ended that with an abortion because I was scared,” she admitted. “I didn’t know what to do. I was a runaway. And then after that, three years after I had an ectopic pregnancy. I had two ectopic pregnancies.”
Back in July, Bunnie shared on the season finale of her podcast that she and her husband were thinking about having a baby together.
“I would have trouble carrying a baby,” Bunnie said, sharing that she’s experienced “many” pregnancy losses and couldn’t emotionally handle another loss now that she’s stabilized her mental health since having a difficult year in 2019.
“I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in my life. And the only thing that’s left is to raise a baby and garden,” Bunnie said. “I’m in my baby mama gardening [sic] era.’”
When she asked Jelly Roll how he’d feel about having a child together, he said, “I would love to have a baby with you,” she recalled. That surprised her but he said he’s always felt that way.
“Now he’s like really excited about [the idea of having a child],” Bunnie said, explaining that he was supportive of surrogacy.
