In an interview with Inside Edition, Linda Hogan opened up on the issue.

I didn’t find out about him having the sex tape until it became national news. It is hard to believe I was married to this man, that I had children with, that I lived with, that I had to look at and talk to and trust as my husband and he is doing this kind of stuff behind my back?

She also said that Hogan tends to blame others for his failures and, even in this case, he showed no regret or remorse. Hogan sued the magazine for a breach of privacy.

Gawker’s lawyers argued that the video was newsworthy since Hogan had made his personal life public, and they claimed it was protected under the First Amendment as a matter of public concern. However, his lawsuit was settled for $31 million.

Hulk Hogan once claimed that he did the reality show Hogan Knows Best because of his wife, who demanded some recognition, but in the same interview, the WWE superstar’s ex-wife revealed she had never said anything like that. Linda Hogan said,

I never said those words, I never said anything like it. In fact, the understanding was that he came and approached me to do the show in order to help his wrestling career in order to give him a little zap because the wrestling was falling off.

Hulk Hogan has always done whatever it takes to stay relevant in the entertainment industry. He has given several stupid bluffs, even beaten up a fan who interrupted him during a WWE match. He has sometimes crossed the line and even dragged his family into his absurd controversies. This ultimately became the real reason behind his damaged relationship with them.

While many still admire him, his actions have caused some of his most loyal fans to turn away. If he doesn’t change his ways, he risks becoming one of the most disliked figures in the history of the promotion.
