When the man filming asked about her thoughts on the billionaire Amazon founder’s star-studded nuptials in Venice, Italy, last month, the singer adjusted her sunglasses and replied, “I wasn’t there.”

The man followed that up by asking, “Were you not invited?” which got him playfully scolded.

“Oh, don’t turn this into that,” the Grammy winner retorted as she giggled.

Commenters had a field day with Carey’s “nonchalant” response, likening the remark to her early 2000s diss of diva nemesis Jennifer Lopez.

“She doesn’t know them 💅🏼,” one of many TikTok users joked beneath the video, as another added, “I was waiting for her to say…… I don’t know them 😂😂😂😂😂.”

Commenters had a field day with Carey’s “nonchalant” response, likening the remark to her early 2000s diss of diva nemesis Jennifer Lopez.

It was during a 2003 interview that Carey was asked about fellow pop superstar Lopez, whom she — perhaps shadily — claimed to not know.

The moment launched a wildly used meme and is still quoted to this day.

“She’s forgetful, I guess … We’ve met many times,” Lopez, 55, told Wendy Williams in 2016 before acknowledging, “I don’t know her that well.”

Carey responded — again, perhaps shadily — later that year, quipping to Andy Cohen, “Apparently, I’m forgetful.”
