Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie Xo, just offered a rare update on her IVF journey—and in the process, she made a vulnerable confession.

On the March 24 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, Bunnie, whose real name is Alyssa DeFord, got real about in vitro fertilization (IVF).

The “Need a Favor” country crooner, 40, and Bunnie, 45, have been married since 2016. Although Jelly Roll has a daughter, Bailee, 16, and a son, Noah, 8, from previous relationships, he and Bunnie do not share any biological children.

Initially, the couple revealed their plans to have a baby in June 2024. But neither Jelly Roll nor Bunnie Xo have shared much since.

“I told you guys that I wasn’t going to tell you guys about it. And I’m not telling you every detail. But I will tell you things about it,” Bunnie said of her infertility struggles on the March 24 Dumb Blonde episode.

She then made an honest admission about the IVF process.

“Honestly, when I was going through this, I realized how lonely of a journey IVF is,” she shared. “It’s very lonely.”

Although many people have friends and family surrounding them to offer support, Bunnie explained that the process can still be emotionally overwhelming.

“It’s just you and these f–king hormones and the waiting and the egg retrieval,” she explained. “And, like, you’re the only person who can go through that, you know?”

Bunnie continued, “Especially doing IVF meds, it’s like a f–king slot machine in Vegas. You never know what you’re going to get. It’s a different outcome. What works for them doesn’t work for others. Age is a factor. There’s just so many things that go into it.”

After sharing how she connected with social media influencers going through IVF, Bunnie Xo praised their honesty.

“Shoutout to all the girls on TikTok who document their journeys, who share information and who share emotions,” she declared.

In a March 4 TikTok video, Bunnie Xo revealed that she was actively undergoing IVF treatments.

“I’m literally going through IVF treatments right now—the hormones, the shots, all that,” she told her followers. “I’m going through all of the emotions, the rollercoaster, the worry, just so that I can have a little piece of my husband and me. Just a little piece wrapped in skin to just add to the other two beautiful children that we have together.”
