Jelly Roll Shares Bold Reaction to Singer’s ‘Gross’ Bathing Habit

The ‘Need a Favor’ singer was stunned by his friend’s controversial personal hygiene technique.

Country singer Jelly Roll had trouble believing fellow singer and friend Brandon Lake when he revealed in a new video that he hadn’t shampooed his hair in over a decade.

The two singers, who worked together on the song “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” shared a clip on social media showing the moment Lake revealed his controversial shower habit to Jelly Roll.

In reaction to the admission, Jelly Roll couldn’t hide his shock, saying, “Oh, no way! What? You’re telling me, 15 years, only conditioner? That can’t be normal, y’all!”

Considering how fans would react to Lake’s statement, Jelly Roll said, “I bet there’s no amens. I bet we get no amens in the comments,” referring to how fans sometimes say “Amen” to show that they agree with or support something.

Lake captioned the post, “Can I get 1 amen?!” while Jelly Roll said, “no amens. do not give this man amens.” As expected, the fans in the comments were divided, although many sided with Jelly Roll.

“Nope, nope, nope!! 😮,” said one fan, as similar replies read, “I’m with jelly on this one,” “My mouth just dropped 😂,” and, “OMG GROSS.”

But some noted that Lake’s technique is something a lot of people with curly hair use, with people writing, “Curly haired people understand that’s a big AMEN,” and, “Curly girl method – Brandon knows what’s up 👏🔥➰👨‍🦱.”

“It’s that long & you haven’t used shampoo in 15 years? 😳 Keep doing what you’re doing. 🤷🏼‍♀️,” said someone else in support of Lake’s choice.

But others still weren’t convinced, like one fan who knew about the no-shampoo habit and said, “I understand the co-wash for curly hair.. but ya still gotta shampoo it at some point man.. that’s wild.”
