Inside Carrie Underwood’s Dreamy Farm Life with Family – Carrie Underwood Gives Fans a Peek Into Her Relaxing Weekend on Her Tennessee Farm

Carrie Underwood is keeping busy with farm life following her role as a judge on season 23 of American Idol.

The country star, 42, lives on a 400-acre farm in Franklin, Tennessee, with her husband, former NHL player Mike Fisher — whom she wed in 2010 — and their two sons, Isaiah, 10, and Jacob, 6. On Sunday, June 29, the “Before He Cheats” hitmaker posted multiple snaps on her Instagram Story highlighting her weekend on the farm.

“Weekend vibes…Baby J!” Underwood wrote on top of a photo of her lamb, Jamal, whom she named after the most recent winner of the singing competition, Jamal Roberts.

She then shared a picture of a bowl of squash, writing, “Hope my family likes squash!” followed by a snap of a bowl of blueberries where she noted she “picked about eight gallons” of them over the weekend.

“Had to get out of the orchard when the bees started swarming,” she wrote on top of a video of bees buzzing around her property. “They landed on a blueberry bush… maybe we can catch them tomorrow if they’re still there…” she added in another story.

Underwood also revealed that her Olive Egger chickens started laying eggs.

In addition, she shared a snap of pickles, a photo of a sunflower and a picture of tomatoes on the vine. She concluded her update with a sunset photo of a lake, accompanied by five red heart emojis.

Underwood is no stranger to posting about her homesteading endeavors.

Earlier this month, she revealed she was working on preserving her food through a method known as canning as she shared a photo of dozens of mason jars sitting on her table.

“My boys were away for the weekend so I decided to get rid of some of the stuff that was in the big freezer. Canning is the perfect way to make use of everything and save myself some time later on when I need a quick meal!” she wrote in the caption of her post.

“I put about 35 (??) ish pheasants into some soup and pot pie filling, got rid of some of last year’s black and blueberries and made some cobbler filling and tried to do something with all the plums we’ve got growing here,” she penned. “Not sure if I made jam or plum butter or some sort of sauce out of it, but I’ll figure out something to do with it! I feel accomplished!!! Yay me!”

Despite her global fame, Underwood prioritizes her role as a mother and wife above all else. Her marriage to Mike Fisher, a former NHL player, is a cornerstone of her happiness. The couple, married since 2010, shares a partnership built on mutual respect, faith, and a shared love for their rural lifestyle. Fisher, who has embraced farm life with enthusiasm, often takes on tasks like tending to the animals or fixing fences, allowing Underwood to focus on her music and family.

Underwood’s dedication to her sons is evident in the way she structures her life around them. She’s intentional about creating a normal childhood for Isaiah and Jacob, shielding them from the pressures of fame. The farm provides the perfect setting for this, offering a private oasis where the boys can grow up with dirt on their hands and love in their hearts. “I want them to have the kind of childhood I had,” Underwood shares. “One where they can be kids, explore, and learn about the world in a real, tangible way.”

The family’s evenings are often spent together, whether it’s cooking a homemade meal, playing board games, or simply sitting on the porch watching the sunset. Underwood’s Instagram is filled with glimpses of these moments, from the boys riding bikes to the family gathered around a bonfire. These posts resonate with fans, who admire Underwood’s ability to stay grounded despite her celebrity status.
