Suge Knight claims that 2Pac and Snoop Dogg were not on the best of terms in the final days of 2Pac’s life. The 59-year-old explained the rift while speaking with The Art Of Dialogue podcast. According to HipHopDX, the two rappers fell out after Snoop Dogg showed love to Diddy or Biggie amid the East Coast vs West Coast feud.

“We back at the hotel […] and I hear banging at the door,” remarked Knight. “I throw my boxers on, open the door and ‘Pac just runs in my room. I’m like, ‘What’s up?’ He’s like, ‘You got a radio?’ He all pumped up, he put the radio on, and we listened to Snoop on the radio.” “Snoop is saying that’s ‘Pac on the bullsh*t. He’d do a song with Biggie, he’d do a song with Puffy, he’d do all these songs. ‘Pac was so mad because ‘Pac loved those dudes. He always would ride for them. He continued to describe the “Hit Em Up” rapper as saying, “‘Man, I just came to f**k with you, but I f**k with everybody on Death Row. I put everybody on my album […] I’ll get on the frontline for them. For this fool to go up there and get on the radio and say f**k me and he riding with them? It’s on.’”

The incarcerated mogul continued to explain how 2Pac became angrier when Snoop Dogg was shot at while on the East Coast for a video shoot for “New York, New York,” allegedly ordered by the Notorious B.I.G. Knight claims he checked in with both rappers every day gauging their energy and continued to detail an alleged incident where the duo nearly came to blows.

“When we got downstairs, ‘Pac took off on Snoop. ‘Pac ran up on him, did what he did. Snoop ran this way, ‘Pac running behind me. I stopped it. ‘You ain’t finna be doing all this sh*t in New York, making us all look like we some idiots.’”

He continued to claim that he encouraged 2Pac and Snoop to settle their differences at their Death Row studio back in California and that the Doggystyle rapper refused to ride in the same vehicle as his peer and did not return home on the same private flight. According to HipHopDX, Snoop Dogg previously claimed he and 2Pac were on the same flight. However, he carried a fork and knife for protection.

“Snoop wasn’t trying to run into ‘Pac at all. He definitely didn’t gang bang on him,” Knight remarked.
